Alex & the EBPC Potters!
An exquisite square cascade bonsai pot in a 'Satomi Inspired' design, with multiple front options.
This fine piece was expertly slab-built from Stone Monkey's quality white stoneware clay. The pot was inspired by a similar design by the well known 'Satomi Terahata' of Japan, and comprises a superb 'Ruri' deep blue glazed front, a soft pastel green front, and a separating sash with painted swirl designs in blue.
This could be used as a tall semi cascade, or as a shallow cascade pot, in addition to being perfect for many flowing trees such as Wisteria. The pot sits on Stone Monkey's famous cloud feet, and has a slight lip to the rim. A beautiful pot ... of many faces!
Hand-signed by the artist, and stamped with the logos of the artist (including the new 'Kanji' stamp), and that of the EBPC.
Andrew Pearson's work is highly sought after and he was the first-ever Westerner to enter (and win!) the Gafu-ten pot contest with his unglazed works.
