Alex & the EBPC Potters!
Sabine Besnard Céramiques - France.
An imposing mokko shaped pot with good depth and an exquisite 'Yuki d'or Bleu' glaze.
Yuki is Japanese for 'snow', and is the name of this exquisite Oak Ash glaze that Sabine has now perfected, after months of experimentation. With the Oak Ash component, you can see the different crystallisation effects of the Yuki glaze.
This beautifully made mokko shaped pot has a wonderful design, with soft curves to the 4 lobed walls and a generous planting depth. The pot sits on four complimentary feet, in a dark oxide finish and the pot has a lip to the rim, which catches the glaze breaks beautifully.
The body of the pot is dressed in a wonderful Yuki d'or Bleu - with snow of gold falling in front of a beautiful dark blue, with hints of green and browns.
Stamped by the artist.
