Alex & the EBPC Potters!
John Pitt - England. (Not an EBPC member)
A rare and quite beautiful 36cm oval made by the most collectible of deceased U.K. potters. Derek Aspinall was a pioneer of bonsai ceramics in Europe, he was an inspiration to many of today’s ceramists and his work is now highly sought after.
This pot is a well-formed oval, with banding to the base and rim. The pot is finished in superb reddish-brown tones. It has a small dent to the rim. (most Aspinal pots have a dent or two, due to lime in the mix popping.) An excellent collector's piece and a very useable pot.
This piece has a special mark in addition to the usual Aspinall stamp.
External measurements: (Max) 36.5cm (length) x 28.8cm (width) x 8cm (height).
Made by: Derek Aspinal - England.
Stand not included.
