Maidenhair Ceramics - Spain

A 31cm low profile design square artisanal built pot, in an excellent kinyo / light pastel blue glaze.

This beautiful hand-formed piece has a unique design with wonderfully well balanced elements. Visually, each corner panel is the same width as each foot, and as the height of the pot. This balanced aesthetic produced a visually pleasing image and a well grounded pot for a variety of styles of bonsai tree .. ideally one with some colour to the leaf, flower or berry!

The pot has a slight lip to the rim, and each foot is decorated in a subtle yet pleasant bead in the matching kinyo glaze. Nick has mastered this glaze - kinyo is an ancient Chinese glaze which remains popular today with Japanese and Western potters and bonsai artists, due to its luxurious yet subdued characteristics.

The pot is stamped with the artists logo.
