A particularly attractive, low root stand made from a quality American Brown Oak hardwood burr, finished with an oil & wax, to a high standard. Comes with a bespoke protective box.

This beautifully made 31.8cm root stand was meticulously hand carved from the burr of a quality American Brown Oak hardwood, and has a refined design, with a flat, highly polished platform, elevated over a network of interconnecting root-like feet.

The stand has been rigorously buffed to bring out the exquisite natural grain of the wood, and the piece has been oil and wax finished to a high standard. The stand comes with a protective plywood box with motif.

American Brown Oak is a naturally very durable hardwood, which has a fine grain with a distinct pattern. This root stand is made from a burr of the America Brown Oak. A 'Burr' ('Burl' in America) is wood that has grown in a deformed way, producing a complex, intricate grain pattern and structure which looks like a clustered group of knots. Burr wood is highly prized for its decorative qualities.
