Koyo - 1st Generation. Aiba Kouichirou; Tokoname, Japan.
A large vintage oval, made by the recently deceased Aiba Kouichirou, founder and 1st generation artist of the Koyo kiln.
This stunning large oval is beautifully formed and has a fantastic cream crackle glaze, with subtle hints of green and decades of patina..
Made as a special order, this pot was originally a commission by Fuyo-en gardens, and the pot bears their stamp in addition to the Koyo stamp and Aiba Kouichirou's hand signature. Although the pot has some age, it is in excellent condition.
External measurements: (Max) 49.7cm (length) x 41.2cm (width) x 6.6cm (height).
Made by: Aiba Kouichirou (Koyo), founder of the Koyo kiln 鴻陽陶園, Tokoname, Japan.
- SHIPPING ONLY WITHIN U.K. unfortunately. Many thanks.
