Alex & the EBPC Potters!
Juudou 十王道 Yamaaki 山秋 first generation. Tokoname, Japan.
An excellent example of a decades-old Nanban by the famed Yamaaki kiln (opened by this artist in the 1920's and closed in 2011).
In excellent condition for a pot very close to 100 years old. The pot is in remarkable condition. Stamped and hand-signed by the artist. Juudou is now long deceased and was one of Tokoname’s leading bonsai ceramists. His works are now increasingly collectible.
External measurements: (Max) 26cm (length) x 4.3cm (height).
Made by: Akigi Kataoka 'Juudou' ( 十王道 ) Yamaaki ( 山秋 ) kiln founder. Tokoname, Japan
