Shipped by the EBPC (U.K.) - From Bryan Albright's Private Collection -
A stoneware chawan / tea bowl in an oil-spot yuteki tenmoku glaze, from the collection of famous UK bonsai ceramist: Bryan Albright.
This 13cm chawan was made from a white clay to a refined form, with thin walls and an elegant lip detail. The pot is finished in a superb oil-spot type of Tenmoku glaze, named after the appearance of the silvery or rainbow-colored specks on the black glaze, which look like oil on water. This prize feature is further enhanced by the black-to-brown color of the tenmoku glaze.
Stamped by the artist.
