An iconic artist, Ian Baillie was one of the earliest of the celebrated UK bonsai potters and his pots have proven to be increasingly desirable.

This is an older 23.5cm round pot in wonderful deep-nanban style design and exquisite aged-looking finish. The design is akin to a nanban with a deep rim. To the lower body, the pot is finished in a reddish-brown oxide, with darker brown oxide above, and a complementary glaze to the rim, in tones of browns and light blue.

This is an older, pre-loved pot. Ian Baillie is still making pots, although less, and remains one of the U.K.'s leading bonsai potters.

In very good condition.

Hand-signed (underneath) and stamped (inside) by the artist.
