#5 Tofukuji Junior

An excellent older pot by the son of THE legend – Heian Tofukuji .. 平安東福寺.

Tofukuji is widely recognised as the most highly regarded bonsai potter of all time. His pots are now becoming extremely valuable. Works by Tofukuji 2^nd however, are currently still relatively affordable, yet retain much of the spirit and charm of his father’s work .. including forms and some of the glazes.

Here we have a smaller oval oozing character and patina. A large mame, or small shohin size, the pot was made from a quality clay and has a fantastic aged green glaze, with a very subtle crackle and lots of patina!
