HARUMATSU, Seto, Japan.

A vintage 70cm unglazed oval in a traditional shallow profile bad-style design, by the popular Seto artist, Harumatsu of the Tosui line.

This XL sized pot - which is collection only from Wales or UK exhibitions (by prior arrangement) is an older piece made to a traditional form and has a wonderful aged finish. The pot was made from a quality Shidei / purple clay and has recessed feet, and a beautiful traditional 'bag-style' lip. The shallow design is suitable for many bonsai styles including; forests, clumps, root over/on rock, as well as for a single landscape style tree.

The pot is in excellent condition for its age, with just one small dent to a foot - which is fortunately not when visible in use. Decades of use have left a wonderful patina, complimenting this vintage piece.
