Gyouzan – Nakano Yukizyou

An unglazed pot in a formal round design, made by the founder & 1st gen' master of the Gyouzan kiln, Nakano Yukizyou, aka Gyouzan. This artist is widely recognised as the world’s foremost living artist for unglazed pots.

This bold round pot was made from a high quality clay blend and is very useable in its design, with a good planting depth and banding to the base. The recessed foot ring also adds to the formality, and the gentle lip softens the rim and overall design. The pot is finished to Gyouzan's usual high standards and is in excellent condition.

Stamped by the artist - reads: 中野行山　(Nakano Gyouzan).
