Alex & the EBPC Potters!
Gordon Duffet - England. (Not an EBPC member)
An iconic artist, Gordon Duffett was a pioneer of European bonsai pottery, and his pots have proven to be increasingly desirable.
This is a very early 37cm rectangle which Gordon himself has confirmed was one of his first pots made in the 1976.
Unglazed pots by Gordon Duffett are also rarer than his glazed wares. In addition to a magnificent and very useable pot for your tree, this pot represents a wonderful piece of European bonsai pottery history, and is a great collector's piece.
The pot has recessed feet and a slight lip to the rim. The pot is formalised with excellent incised corner details, which extend to both the feet and rim.
The pot is stamped by the artist (with a stamp formed from typewriter letters!)
A very early pre-loved pot by one of the U.K.'s leading bonsai potters. His works are now very collectable.
External measurements: 37cm (length) x 25.6cm (width) x 8.5cm (height).
