Built and finished to a high standard, the design of this Kowatari inspired pot is well-informed and an aesthetic masterpiece.

This beautifully formed square-shaped semi-cascade pot is built to a great design, from a darker Chamotte clay mixed by the artist for exactly the right tone and consistency. This design has carved feet, with basal band in relief above, and walls that gently flare out to the lip of the pot.

The pot has a smooth finish but with a textured feel, and as is often seen in Kowatari pots, there is a large drainage hole.
