A dynamic cascade style pot in a rugged, lithic finish, made by the highly acclaimed studio potter, Eddie Curtis.

Born from a love of bonsai, and a lifetime mastering studio pottery, this kifu sized cascade pot was expertly formed and boasts enormous character. The remarkable rugged, seemingly lithic aesthetic was achieved through meticulous sculptural work and a number of textural and glaze techniques.

By using a variety of methods to create the varied textured surfaces, the artist has given the pot a tactile and very natural look, which is further enhanced by the effective use of oxides and glaze techniques including glaze layering, and glaze effects such as kairagi you (crawling glaze).

With its generous planting depth, movement, and rugged finish, this unique pot would suit perfectly a variety of dynamic trees.
