Alex & the EBPC Potters!
Derek Aspinall, England.
A beautiful and very large, 79.1cm rectangle in a toasty brown which darkens towards the base.
Derek's family have informed us that, to their knowledge, this was the largest pot that Derek ever made. The pot has a nice subtle textured finish, ample drainage, and to the underside has 2 additional 'foot' supports to insure the strength of this very large pot.
This decades old pot has just a couple of very minor chips, and one large chip to a corner of the pot. This is very much reflected in the reduced price. Otherwise in excellent condition and structurally sound. The pot's distinction and historic value vastly outweigh this aesthetic damage - which may easily be filled with traditional kintsugi if preferred.
Obviously very proud of this piece, Derek stamped this pot externally, with the 'show stamp' visible to all.
Stamped by the artist - under and externally.
External measurements: 79.1cm (l) x 46.8cm (w) x 12cm (h).

* - Derek Aspinall was one of Europe's pioneering bonsai potters in the 1980's , and his works continued to be highly prized throughout his career. Aspinall unfortunately passed away over 20 years ago, however Aspinall pots are now some of the most collectable of European bonsai pots, and it is an honour to offer these historic pieces.
