A superb round Nanban style pot with good depth, beautifully formed with subtle use of texture and oxides to provide this rugged-aged feel.

The pot has an organic aesthetic, with a charcoal grey finish, subtle inclusions and textures. There are also some random ash deposits (where ash has landed, melted, vitrified, and become a glaze).

Bryan has been making exquisite pots for over 40 years and remains one of Europe’s best-loved potters. He has a wonderful eye for aesthetics and his rugged nanban style pots are especially sought after. Bryan has unfortunately decided to retire from making bonsai pots and has advised us that this will be the last batch of pots he will make.
