Amdouni Bonsai Pot - Flowers & Buds Design

A round porcelain pot, in beautiful design, with flowers in relief and celadon glazed finish.

This gracefully formed pot has a classic design, yet is decorated with a beautiful pattern of flowers and buds in relief. The designs add some texture and movement to the pot and capture and affect the glaze beautifully, with thinning and pooling. The feet have a nice carved design and the pot is glazed in a celadon glaze.

Celadon is an ancient glaze from China that people have tried to emulate for years. Originally the translucent green was revered by Emperors who likened it to the most precious of stones, Jade.
