Shipped by the EBPC (U.K.) - From Bryan Albright's Private Collection
A 14th Century tea bowl made in Đại Việt, from the collection of famous UK bonsai ceramist: Bryan Albright.
In the 14th century, when this bowl was made, the region of modern Vietnam was known as Đại Việt. The tea bowl has quite a refined build and an elegant 'Komogai nari' shaped design, sitting on a narrow round foot ring. The bowl is finished in an off white glaze and wondrous painted patterns adorn both the inside and the outside of this exquisite 700 year old tea bowl.
Please note there is a small hairline crack, but for it's extensive age is generally in remarkable condition.
External Measurements (max): 14.7cm x 6cm
